Zuill Bailey, who first appeared as a guest artist with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra in 2005, is widely considered one of the premiere cellists in the world. His recently released recording of the Bach Cello Suites became an instant best-seller on the classical charts.
In Richard Strauss' marvelous "Don Quixote," the solo cello portrays the character of noble (but delusional) Don Quixote, while the principal viola (FMSO's own Tim Nelson), portrays the knight's squat and comical sidekick, Sancho Panza.
